WHAT?
Text image about what is BLOCK-BOARD: it's a 3d serious game in which you can display text over the face of 3d shapes. You can move; color; split; connect; reconnect and classify information in a 3D environment.
WHY? WHO?
Text image about why to use BLOCK-BOARD and who is it made by and for: BLOCK-BOARD  is made to learners, students, and teachers. It is maintained by an English teacher who learned coding in order to build it
Text image about how to use BLOCK-BOARD in a few lines: works from textual input. Insert a sentence; create a shape; classify it according to some reference material of your choice; split it into words; print out your study material

BLOCK-BOARD is made in Unity for Linux and Android. The networking is made with Photon Engine's Fusion and Voice.

BLOCK-BOARD is currently in version 0.4

If you'd like to build the project in Unity: https://github.com/wierdest/blockboard

1st step
Text image about the first step to take when using BLOCK-BOARD: CATegorization is central to the core ideas behind BLOCK-BOARD When you press the CAT button BLOCK-BOARD is informed that the selected shape’s faces’ text should be treated as a category when printing out content. So, the1ststep is to find or come up with REFERENCE MATERIAL adequate to be used as a category & sample source.

2nd Step

Text image about the second step on how to use BLOCK-BOARD: The second step to take place: CLASSIFY a sample from an appropriate source, splitting it into individual parts and moving on to those, if necessary. Work inductively until you feel you are able to reproduce the categorization in another sample. Then, the

3rd step

The user can MOVE, COLOR,SPLIT & CATEGORIZE the information as needed:

By using the CAT button in conjunction with the PRINT button, the user is able to generate an arbitrary string representation of the board.

Pasting it into a powerful text editor like LibreOffice Writer, a teacher or student may generate any kind of activity they see fit for the content presented:

The current default printed arbitrary string is a color categorization activity:

As of now, the project is particularly suitable for teachers or learners interested in learning basic coding by building something they can use in their own practice right away.

If you'd like to build the project in Unity and add more printing options, there's information at the repository: https://github.com/wierdest/blockboard
